Kick off the summer with Michigan’s 28th Annual Leland Food & Wine Festival this Saturday at the Leland Harbor, June 8th.
Rain or shine, come out and enjoy a day near the Leland Harbor and Leland’s historic Fishtown, tasting wines from local wineries and specialties from local restaurants and vendors.
There’s also live music from Live Wire with Ron Gertz and Elizabeth Sexton Rivers, in the park all day and plenty of beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.
The band stage will be on deck overlooking the festival (on top of the brand new bathrooms, in Fishtown).
NM3 Live invites you to the first-ever TC Scoop Festival at F&M Park, Saturday, June 15th from 11-3pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the event: $5 for 4 tickets, $20 Family Price for 16 tickets and children 6-years-old and under are Free (you will still receive 2 tickets). All additional tickets can be purchased for $1.
Vendors include: Moomers Ice Cream, Blue Bunny Ice Cream Novelties, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffee & Smoothies, Culver’s Prairie Farms, Jimmy John’s, Great Lakes Potato Chip Co. and Sam’s Club-Aunt Millie’s.
Expect soft serve ice cream, custards and a variety of gelato and the ability to do a good deed! This event serves a dual purpose, in that it will be raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and creating a party in your belly – smiles all around!

Dirt Fest is an all inclusive, free Earth Day celebration for Northwestern Michigan College’s dynamic student body and the larger, Northern Michigan community. Dirt Fest is a means of communicating how to get involved with a multitude of environmental issues, both locally and globally, through a dialogue with music, art and small interactive workshops.

Dirt Fest will be a celebration filled with creative expression, that plants the seed(s) of environmental consciousness and provides the resources to help it grow.
This free festival begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th at NMC’s Welcome Center.

In case not everyone is busy dancing or participating in one of our workshops we will also have various arts and crafts tables set up at the event for folks of all ages to take part in while the music plays.
There will also be snacks for everyone thanks to donations from our many participating local organizations!
To commence the festivities, Dirt Fest will be hosting a community bike ride, known as Tour de Traverse, in partnership with two Michigan non-profit organizations.

How many of you green minded eco-friendly individuals have been to Green Drinks?
Green Drinks is an international organization of people who meet on once a month locally to celebrate, discuss, learn, teach, network everything green…and of course share a drink. This months meeting will be held at Lil’Bo restaurant on Front Street. Please join this fun and interactive group as we will be discussing my favorite subject “RECYCLING”!!! There will be a quick presentation (5 min) from Kelly Ignace from American Waste about their efforts. Also, anybody else in the world of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle are welcome to join, along with anybody who is or wants to be GREEN!
