What is eWaste?
Electronic waste is basically anything with a plug. Common eWaste items are TVs, computers, office equipment, printers, entertainment devices, dvd players, mobile phones, small kitchen appliances, and batteries.
Did you know that many electronics contain toxic substances such as lead, zinc and mercury? Millions of obsolete computers, monitors, keyboards, scanners, printers, copiers, cell phones and other electronics are mindlessly tossed into landfills each year, taking hundreds of years to break down, leaching toxins into our environment. Our eWaste Michigan program recycles, reuses or repurposes your electronics. Please think of BARC for your broken or obsolete computers and electronics.
We have out grown our current facilities and are in the process of relocating. During our transition, we are unable to accept recycling drop offs, but we are happy to offer our pickup service at 1/2 off. Please contact our office to schedule your pickup today!

Did you know you can recycle your Appliances with BARC?
Cherryland Electric and TCL&P have made BARC their refrigerator recycler for their appliance rebate program. Refrigerators need to have their Freon properly discharged before they can be safely recycled. BARC takes care of this for you. Additionally Cherryland Electric and TCL&P may offer a rebate to customers that are looking to safely dispose of their refrigerators. In fact they offer a lot of great rebates to customers that are upgrading their appliances. Learn more at the cherrylandelectric.coop and tclp.org website.
Bay Area Recycling for Charities has partnered with Grand Traverse Industries
Working together we were able to acquire and now operate TC eWaste, a local eWaste recycling company. Renamed eWaste Michigan, BARC will manage the day-to-day operations and is excited about expanding further into recycling eWaste.
