Annual Spring Festival

Empire, MI

For years, BARC has worked with the Village of Empire to host the Empire Asparagus Festival. This early-spring event is the kick-off to northern Michigan’s growing season and is aptly named for its asparagus theme from start to finish. The weekend is packed full with fun activities including: the Kick-your-Asparagus Run, a community-wide asparagus recipe cook-off, live music, dancing and more.

BARC ensures that the event is zero-waste and collaborates with Taste the Local Difference to verify that vendors use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible.

Every beer sold helps to support Village of Empire and BARC’s work in the community.
