Recycling your retired mattress will save a 40 cubic foot, gas-emitting pocket from our landfills in addition to reclaiming earth’s valuable resources.

Bulk Mattress Recycling

BARC provides bulk mattress removal for hotels, hospitals, colleges, universities, nursing homes and assisted living communities across Michigan and much of the Midwest. If you have more than 10 mattresses to recycle, there is a quantity discount. Contact us to coordinate your mattress recycling and removal.

Individual Mattress Recycling

Individuals can drop off old mattresses and box springs for recycling at the recycling centers list below.

Mattresses need to be dry, intact, and have no signs of bed bugs. Some light staining is okay but darker brown stains will not be accepted. Mattresses should be stored either indoors or off the ground, under a tarp, prior to drop off. For BARC’s full pricing sheet – CLICK HERE

For a $90 pickup charge plus the cost of recycling each mattress we will pick up old mattresses & box springs within the 6 county area of Northern Michigan. The counties include: Grand Traverse, Antrim, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Benzie, and Manistee. Please fill out the form to schedule a pickup and we will work you into our Monday routes.

Please fill out this form with some basic information, we’ll review our truck schedule and follow up with you on pricing, pick-up fees, and timing. Unfortunately, BARC cannot offer exact pickup times. Special Pick-ups are generally scheduled each Monday. Please inform us if you need a pick up on a particular day and we will do our best to accommodate.
